Here’s an important question that can have a surprising affect on your success: Are you an expert? Even more important is the follow-up: How do I know you’re an expert?
Are you an expert?
When you’re considering adding a new service or raising your rates, you may hesitate. You might find yourself thinking, “I can’t offer that service, I’m not an expert,” or “I only know a little bit.” Don’t sell yourself short! If you’re knowledgeable about a subject where others are not, you’re an expert. Are there experts out there who know more than you? Of course! But that doesn’t matter. You’re an expert to the client who is five steps behind you. The fact that there are others with a greater level of expertise in no way diminishes your ability to sell your skill and knowledge.
Most professionals don’t really know how to convey their expertise in an effective and authentic way. So on this week’s Roach Rants, I’m sharing the best strategies you can use to position yourself as an expert.

Hi Sean,
I have attended one of your session at Gold Coast, Australia back 3 or so years ago.
I have not yet published a book.
Anyways, I might be 5 steps ahead of somebody but internet is always ahead of me. So what are the reasons the somebody will see my book and there is value to spend some money on me?
Kind Regards,
Hiro,
There is always value in you!
